Welcome to the new Grand Lodge of Ghana platform.

The Grand Lodge of Ghana Information and Public Relations Committee has spent months working to build a credible Internet presence for the benefit of membership but also the public at large. We are now pleased to introduce to you the all new Website platform for the Grand Lodge of Ghana and we expect that it will be a lasting source of up-to-date information and the pride of the membership.

The first 2 buttons (sub-menus) are open to the public whilst the third

can only be accessed by registered members.

WHAT WE DO - Freemasonry explained
This will give access to additional options open to members - A MEMBERS HOME PAGE WITH FOUR BUTTONS;

CALENDAR - programme of events
GRAND MOMENTS - Picture gallery
This is a parallel development to a new Database platform developed with the assistance of Vanguard Assurance Co. Ltd. This mobile Database station is also accessible at the Grand Lodge Office or from time to time as the Grand Lodge travels around to other centres as required. Though they are designed as separate structures, together they build and offer a means to obtain information/reports on your individual masonic/lodge profile as well as creating an opportunity for maximum benefits for a fully registered member in the Database. In the very near future will observe the ability to pay dues, purchase items such as masonic merchandise, and even register and pay for events as we bring it into its full functionality.

By this arrangement you now have full access to the Membership Centre (when duly registered) and a wealth of information on offer whilst keeping out any unpalatable intrusions from hackers. It is also a continuing project and we acknowledge the need for the broad participation of the entire membership bearing in mind the necessity to put out new and fresh information.

Please, do not hesitate to send us any interesting articles or link to a news item that will be beneficial to the Fraternity at large as well as Notices/Summonses and Pictures of your lodge activities.

Having said that, please note that your content will be reviewed in order to maintain a pleasant and professional experience for all who visit our site. Subordinate Lodge websites could be linked from this platform and attached to each lodge's contact information.

All lodges wishing to post their websites must adhere to a Website Policy for Subordinate Lodges. Once you have reviewed the Policy, please submit your site for approval. Remember, that your lodge does not require approval to have a site, it is only necessary if you want it listed next to your address on the Grand Lodge site.

Send the Webmaster an email with the content you like to be considered or any questions you may need addressed.

Grand Master, Grand Lodge of Ghana

The objectives and direction of the Grand Lodge are restated;

In August 1938, the Grand Lodges of England, Ireland and Scotland each agreed upon and issued a statement identical in terms except that the name of the issuing Grand Lodge appeared throughout. This statement, which was entitled Aims and Relationships of the Craft, is fully endorsed and adopted by the Grand Lodge of Ghana in the following terms

From time to time the Grand Lodge of Ghana would exercise its inherent right to make new laws and regulation to alter those already made, preserving at the same time the Antient Landmarks.
In view of representations which have been received, and of statements recently issued which have distorted or obscured the true objects of Freemasonry, it is considered necessary to emphasize certain fundamental principles of the Order.
The first condition of admission into, and membership of, the Order is a belief in the Supreme Being. This is essential and admits of no compromise.
The Bible, referred to by Freemasons as the Volume of the Sacred Law, is always open in the Lodges. Every candidate is required to take his obligation on the Book, or on the Volume which is held by his particular Creed to impart sanctity to an oath or promise taken upon it.
Everyone who enters Freemasonry is, at the outset, strictly forbidden to countenance any act which may have a tendency to subvert the peace and good order of society, he must pay due obedience to the law of any State in which he resides or which may afford him protection, and he must never be remiss in it the allegiance due to the Sovereign of his native land.
While the Grand Lodge of Ghana shall inculcate in each of its members the duties of loyalty and citizenship, it reserves to the individual the right to hold his own opinion with regard to public affairs. But neither in any Lodge nor at any time in his capacity as a Freemason is he permitted to discuss or to advocate his views on theological or political questions.
The Grand Lodge of Ghana will always consistently refuse to express any opinion on questions of foreign or domestic state policy either at home or abroad, and it will not allow its name to be associated with any action, however humanitarian it may appear to be, which infringes its unalterable policy of standing aloof from every question affecting the relations between political parties, or questions as to rival theories of government.
The Grand Lodge of Ghana is aware that there do exist bodies styling themselves Freemasons, which do not adhere to these principles, and while that attitude exists, The Grand Lodge Ghana refuses absolutely to have any relations with such bodies or to regard them as Freemasons.
The Grand Lodge of Ghana is a sovereign and independent body practicing Freemasonry only within the three Degrees and only within the limit defined in its constitution. It does not recognize or admit the existence of any of any superior Masonic authority however styled.
The Grand Lodge of Ghana has refused, and it will continue to refuse, to participate in conference with so-called International Associations claiming to represent Freemasonry, which admits to membership bodies failing to conform strictly to the Principles upon which the Grand Lodge of Ghana is founded. The Grand Lodge of Ghana does not admit any such claim, nor can its view be represented by any such Association.
There is no secret with regard to any of the basic principles of Freemasonry, some of which have been stated above. The Grand Lodge of Ghana will always consider the recognition of those Grand Lodges which profess and practice, and can show that they have consistently professed and practiced, those established and unaltered principles, and in no circumstances will it enter into discussion with a view to any new or varied interpretation of them. They must be accepted and practiced wholeheartedly and in their entirety by those who desire to be recognized as Freemasons by the Grand Lodge of Ghana.
The Grand Lodge of Ghana is convinced that it is only by this rigid adherence to this policy that Freemasonry has survived the constantly changing doctrines of the outside world, and is compelled to place on record its complete disapproval of any action which may tend to permit the slightest departure from the basic Principles of Freemasonry.
